Question
What is an ideal resistive range for a tiled floor? –Anonymous, Mansfield, MA
Answer
For a tiled floor in an ESD Sensitive area, it is recommended to keep the resistance below 1x10
9
ohms per ANSI/ESD-S7.1 and ANSI/ESD-S20.20 standards. This can be accomplished with a floor treatment or with conductive tiles or matting. Statproof® Floor Finish System is recommended for coating tiled or cement floors. This program will ensure the floors resistance complies to the standards (following regular maintenance) as well as adding a clean appearance/shine to the floor.
