Question
We have some test equipment that is ESD sensitive to anything over 2 (two)volts… Anonymous, Essex Junction, VT
Answer
General test equipment tends to be more robust than at a two volt level. This is a very critical voltage level, and considered to be a class 0 susceptible item for all ESD models. It will be extremely hard to sustain your ESD control program to under 2 volts without a lot of detail attention to all processes the ESD susceptible devices go through. You must design out any insulative materials that are used in the testing process because ionizer will not be able to sustain a less than two volt level. You might be able to get some additional information on re-designing your control program to help protect your test equipment.
