Question Is there a method to measure the dissapative nature of a cable jacket? Is there a standard test procedure? The reason for this is that Olflex has introduced a line of cables for the cleanroom industry and we want to minimize any ESD issues. I have not been able to find any test relating to cables. Answer As far as I know, there is no specific standard on testing ESD properties for cabling. However, there are several tests from various standards that can be used to qualify your cabling for compliance to charge decay, low tribocharging (antistatic), and electrical resistance.

Your best bet would be to contact an independent test lab, such as:
