Question
We seem to be having a difficult time finding bags that are marked with MIL-PRF-81705D and I’m wondering if that is still a requirement. We manufacture products for the DOD and NASA and just aren’t sure, with acquisition reform, if it is still a requirement. -Anonymous
Answer
This structure is a metallized polyester/polyethylene/aluminum foil/static dissipative polyethylene product. This product is a special for us it is not in the catalog. We have produced bags as specials using this film before. This film meets the MIL-PRF-81705D and is printed with the MIL spec from the laminator.
